Supermarkets look for ways to save money for consumers and themselves
Diane Propst of Middletown usually shops once a week for groceries. Thursday afternoon she had about $90 worth of food in her shopping cart at Weis Market on Old Camp Road. Helping with the grocery shopping are grandaughters Taylor Long, 11, and Jordan Long, 6. Many supermarkets are looking for ways to offer competitive prices while at the same time cutting operating costs.
