For some, the death of pop star Michael Jackson last week has sparked a wave of nostalgia that some enterprising individuals are looking to capitalize on.

The Better Business Bureau of Greater Maryland is warning consumers that the value of most memorabilia and commemorative items for sale online is currently inflated and will drop over time.

If anyone had sympathy for convicted swindler Bernard Madoff, it was hard to find Monday after a judge handed down a 150-year prison sentence for his part in stealing billions of dollars from hundreds of investors.

"Bernie Madoff may not be a traditional terrorist, but nevertheless, he hurt so many innocent people that he is a white-collar terrorist," said Jane Helm, senior paraplanner at Moore Wealth Inc. in Frederick. more »
