Matt Thompson saw quite a few tears shed in the grocery aisle Saturday.

Thompson, managing director of the western branch of the Maryland Food Bank, was one of 1,723 volunteers at the Convoy of Hope event, held at the county fairgrounds.

Watson, You clearly have not done your homework and I'm not going to do it for you. And I really don't care if you see my comment as factual.

I do not wish to debate with you further. Have a good day.

The leadership effort was made by "Convoy of Hope is a faith-based organization that hosts events throughout the country..." I don't see your comment as factual.

Think about it and maybe you'll get it. "Covet not thy neighbor's cows by spooking them with fireworks." Your church is not the good guys just wanted to establish your prejudice.

That's correct. What's your point? I'm not hiding behind a made up user id. I simply made an observation about the kind of news that attracts attention. And everything in my earlier comment is completely factual.

And your clever turn of one of the 10 commandments in your comment doesn't even make sense.

Are you the David Aumen who works for SRA International and attended Oral Roberts University? So are you also a member of Calvary Assembly of God Church in Walkersville, MD? Covet not thy neighbor's cows by spooking them with fireworks.

I'm not seeing what your seeing: "Convoy of Hope is a faith-based organization that hosts events throughout the country..." About 150 organizations and 39 churches came together for Saturday's event in Frederick... Maryland Food Bank... Rachel Cruz, a photographer from Lovettsville, Va... Lisa Kaempfer, a volunteer from Buckeystown United Methodist Church. My conclusion is that you're seeing things that aren't here.

Just an observation..........Reference the article, "Farmer seeks $13,000 in damages after church fireworks event".........An article about an unfortunate negative situation involving a church has elicited 82 comments to this point in time. Many are highly critical. This article about Convoy, which was made possible for Frederick through the leadership efforts of this same church along with many others, has attracted only one comment other than my own. Draw your own conclusions.

I met the nicest young lady yesterday when I went to get a haircut. She told me that she had just got back from giving hair cuts at the Convoy of Hope. I told her that if we had more people like her, who will step up to do things like this, we wouldn't need so much bloated government. She then told she's all for that cause she's a card carrying Libertarian. "Me too," I said... then we spent the next 20-minutes 'solving the world's problems.'
