The Maryland Craft Beer Festival runs from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday at the E-ventplex at the Frederick Fairgrounds. More than a dozen breweries will be present with over 80 different beers. The Maryland Craft Beer Festival is for, by and in direct support of Maryland craft beer. This family-friendly festival features live music by popular regional and national artists, kids' activities, exhibitors, a variety of food offerings designed to complement the beer, on-site brewing demonstrations, rare bottles and kegs, unique casks and VIP door prizes.
The Imagination Movers Rock-O-Matic Tour features Rich Collins, Scott Durbin, Dave Poche and Scott "Smitty" Smith performing energizing hits from their TV series, and showcasing music from their recent album, "Rock-O-Matic."
The Thurmont Thespians will hold open auditions for their 14th annual summer teen musical, "All Shook Up," at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 19, and 6:30 p.m. Monday, May 21, in the Social Hall of St. John's Lutheran Church, 15 N. Church St. (next to the Guardian Hose Fire Hall).
The critically acclaimed WBEZ Chicago radio show "This American Life" and host Ira Glass bring radio to the big screen with "This American Life -- Live!," a special live performance from the Skirball Center at New York University. This event will broadcast to more than 500 movie theaters nationwide at 8 p.m. tonight, with an encore in select theaters on Tuesday.
