That's how we hope you will remember our weekly section called Around Frederick County. AFC publishes each Wednesday with the goal of providing hyper-local news where you live.

We launched the section earlier this year, cleaving Frederick County into four regions:

n The first week of each month belongs to the NORTH portion of the county. The region includes the communities of Emmitsburg , Thurmont , Rocky Ridge, Sabillasville, Lewistown and Creagerstown.

n The second week of the month is the EAST and includes Woodsboro , New Market , Walkersville , Mount Airy , Libertytown and Ijamsville.

n The third week is the WEST and includes Myersville , Middletown , Jefferson , Brunswick and Braddock Heights.

n Week No. 4 is the SOUTH and includes Adamstown , Kemptown, Urbana , Buckeystown , Monrovia and Damascus.

Each year, four months have five Wednesdays. On the fifth Wednesday, we feature a neighborhood in the city of Frederick .

Wednesday's AFC page contains stories from the region and a calendar of events and meetings.

Speaking of the calendar, we want to hear from you. Let us know of events happening in your community. We want more than municipal meetings. Let us know what is happening with your service organization, club, church or fire company.
