Adam John Sierakowski, of Perry Hall, was the top male finisher in this morning's half-marathon with a time of one hour, 17 minutes and 20 seconds. He finished six seconds ahead of the second-place finisher, Keith McIntyre, who crossed in 1:21.04.
Tammy Slusser, of Monroeville, Pa., won the women's half-marathon, crossing the finish line in 1:24.41. She finished ahead of Sherry Stick, who placed second with a time of 1:27.19.
Will Ansalvish was the top finisher from Frederick . He recorded a time of 1:23.55 to finish sixth overall and first in the men's 25-29 age group.
Darcy Strouse was the top women's finisher from the area. Strouse, of Frederick , crossed the finish line in 1:31.28.
Other top performances from local runners include:
16-year-old Kristen Luttrell, of Frederick , won the 19-and-under women's category with a time of 1:41.05.
Carol Parker Perez, 53, of Mount Airy , won the 50-54 women's age group with a time of 1:50.03.
E. Kevin Clark, 44, paced the 40-44 age men's group with a time of 1:28.56.
John Clarke, 70, of Woodsboro , was the top men's performer in the 70-99 age group with a time of 1:51.19.
All told, 1,805 runners competed in the half-marathon, 1,001 women and 804 men.
