Kobe has really enjoyed his first fall season with us.  He has discovered that when you step on leaves that have fallen to the ground they make a loud, fun crunching noise.  But when you run and jump in a whole pile of fallen leaves it makes an even louder, better sound!

Kobe’s new favorite game is standing below a tree that is shedding its leaves and seeing how many he can jump up and catch in the air before they touch the ground. 

Fall weather also brings the rain and with the many wet days we have had recently it makes for nice soft dirt, perfect for digging.  Once he gets going it is hard to stop.  I wonder how big a hole he would actually dig if we didn’t stop him.  He loves getting dirty and making a mess, but hates to get his paws cleaned off afterwards.  He would much rather run thru the house and wipe it off on the carpets and the floors. 

Although our mischievous pup is always up to no good, he still makes us laugh every day and those smiles make it worth all the hard work.

Stuffed toys are Kobe’s favorite, but I always hesitate to buy them because he loves to rip them up and the stuffing goes everywhere.  Well I gave in and bought him a stuffed chicken just like the one he had when we first got him.  I should have listened to my gut.  I think it lasted 2 days in our house before it was torn apart and it’s insides were spread all over the couch.  Another one bites the dust!
