Repairing the roof

ABOVE: The Sunnyside United Methodist Church on Mountville Road got a new roof for protection against the sun and the rain on Wednesday. Workers of P.H. Drayer Co. Inc. attach two by fours to the roof of the church building as they prepare to install a new steel roof. The workers were part of volunteers from the Mid-Atlantic Chapter, National Framers Association, with members from Maryland, Delaware and Virginia helping out. The church, built in the late 1880s, was later used as a one-room schoolhouse until the late 1940s. Sunnyside used the building for its Sunday School and meeting hall.
