Entrepreneurs have a lot to think about when plunging into the economy. Having some knowledge in various fields would be a positive move.To meet that demand, and promote the entrepreneur environment in Frederick , a series of courses has been designed by Mount St. Mary's University's School of Business in partnership with Frederick Community College and the Frederick Innovative Technology Center Inc. "The newly created Business Management Series is designed with the entrepreneur and working business manager in mind," said Michael J. Dailey, executive director of FITCI. "Mount St. Mary's University -- School of Business graduate professors have developed hands-on, practical, focused instruction based upon the needs of the newly created entrepreneur." Courses are organized into six independent modules with each module meeting for only two or three days and covering the most important business topics for entrepreneurs or business manager, Dailey said. Modules will be offered on Tuesday afternoons, from 2 to 5 p.m. every other week. The courses will begin Sept. 15. Topics will include market strategy and execution, financial management, business law and intellectual property, essential management, information technology and human resources.
