The deadline is nearing for nominees for this year's Frederick County Business Ethics Awards.The Rotary Club of Carroll Creek and The Frederick News-Post are sponsoring the event, which will honor businesses that exemplify the highest ethical standards. Employees, customers, clients and referrals, as well as the companies themselves, can enter nominations. The deadline is Nov. 15. There are two categories for nominations, large businesses with more than 100 employees, and small businesses with less than 100 employees. Sanders said as of Friday, there were 10 nominations -- five in the small firm category and five in the large firm category. Once nominated, a company must complete an application form on the website before Jan. 15, 2010. An awards recognition dinner is set for 6 p.m. March 13 at Coblentz Hall at Hood College.
