We welcome your letters. Our goal is to print letters on a wide variety of subjects and opinions. Letters should be exclusive to The Frederick News-Post and should be written and addressed to the editor. We do not publish poetry, religious verse or form letters. We reserve the right to edit letters for length and content. We request that letter writers limit submissions to one per month, and that letters be limited to 200 words (two to three short paragraphs) in length. Our readers prefer letters on timely, local topics.

Letters must include the writer's name, town of residence, and daytime phone number used to verify letters, which is necessary before they can be considered for publication.

Due to the large quantity of letters we receive, we regret that we are unable to publish them all.
