    Catoctin's miracle man

    Matthew Nesbitt (left) was busy Wednesday preparing for the Class 1A North championship on Friday night, an opportunity he relishes as much, if not more than his Catoctin football teammates.

    In many ways, it's a miracle Nesbitt is even alive, let alone playing football as a starting defensive back for the unbeaten Cougars.

    Woman leaves $40,000 in valuable coins at Grotto for safekeeping

    People often visit the National Shrine Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes in Emmitsburg seeking spiritual healing.

    Worshippers pray and light candles at the statue of the Virgin Mary to help along an answer to difficult questions, Grotto director William Tronolone said.
