Mr. Thomas Carl Krisman



Mr. Thomas Carl Krisman, 79, of Frederick, passed away Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009, at Kline Hospice House in Mount Airy. He was the husband of Linnie Lou Dewitt Krisman for 55 years.

Born April 16, 1930, he was the son of the late Tom and Antonia Krisman.

He served his country from July 23, 1948, to July 9, 1952, in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for James Cafritz Inc. as a project manager and retired in 1990 after 30 years.

He enjoyed playing pool, watching sports on TV and keeping his lawn in tip top shape. He also loved going out to eat and joking around with the regulars, always in his cowboy boots.

In addition to his loving wife, Linnie, he is survived by his two children, Lou Evy and husband, Roger, of Damascus, and Dale Krisman and wife, Cindy, of Emporia, Kan.; his three grandchildren, Crystal Crigger and husband, Dale, of Clarksburg, Cindy Eanes of Walkersville, and Jordan Krisman of Emporia, Kan.; two great-grandchildren, Makenzie and Kendra Crigger; one sister, Wilma Appenzeller of College Park, and his numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Lily Smith.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, and also one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, at the funeral home with the Rev. Leon Dodson and the Rev. Wallace Lusk officiating. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Charles Wood, Alfred Goad, Bruce Goad, Alvin Pearce, Dorsey Oland and Donald DeWitt.

Memorial contributions may be made to Building for Hebron Christian Church, c/o Leon Dodson, 13112 Manor Drive, Mount Airy, MD 21771, and to Hospice of Frederick, P.O. Box 1799, Frederick, MD 21702.
