Mrs. Julia Marie Parker



Julia Marie Parker, 54, of Adamstown, died Monday, Oct. 26, 2009, after a short battle with cancer, at her home with her family by her side. She was the wife of 19 years and one day to Harvey John Moore.

Born Sept. 13, 1955, in Washington, she was the daughter of the late Robert Stewart and Barbara Ann Peyton Parker.

Julia was employed with the Montgomery County Public Schools for 30 years as a fiscal assistant. She also worked part time with the Frederick Keys as an usher, a job that she loved.

She dedicated her life to her children and her family and was a wonderful mother to her kids.

In addition to her husband, Julia is survived by daughters, Marie Moore (Michael Burch), Michelle Moore Dewese (Dustin Dewese), Maribeth Moore (Daniel Marl), and Magen Lewis (Rommie Lewis II); sisters, Carol Parker-Perez (Roberto), and Laura Furgeson (Charlie); brothers, Robert Parker (Jackie), and Thomas Parker (Brenda); new grandsons, Maximus Dewese and Rommie Lewis III; and numerous nieces, nephews and close friends.

She was predeceased by a son, Harvey John Moore II.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, at Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick. A Mass of Christian burial will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 30, from St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 118 E. Second St., Frederick, with Father Richard J. Murphy as celebrant.

Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Silver Spring.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1393 Progress Way, Suite 908, Eldersburg, MD 21784.
