Mary Jo Sexton, of Petersville, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009, at home. She was the loving wife of John L. Sexton Sr.

She is survived by six children, Sharon Sexton-Keller, John L. Sexton Jr., Karen French, Lisa Grant, April Sexton, and Jonathan Paul Sexton. Also surviving are many grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mary was also mother to many children over the years, including John Patrula and Amanda Hughes.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, in the Garden of the Cross at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, with a reception immediately following at Faith Baptist Church in Knoxville.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Faith Baptist Church, 2212 Jefferson Pike, Knoxville, MD 21758.
