Mr. Jerry Weldon Study

Mr. Jerry Weldon Study, 86, of Monrovia, died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009, at the Vindobona Nursing Home, Braddock Heights. He was the husband of Louise Elizabeth Kelly Study, whom he married August 5, 1943.Born July 1, 1923, in Frederick, he was a son of the late Scott Luther and Roma Arlene Markoe Study. Mr. Study served in the U.S. Army Air Force in England and France during World War II. He had been employed at Fort Detrick for more than 35 years. Surviving in addition to his wife, at home, are two daughters: Gail E. Norris and husband, James, of Williamsport and Roma E. Payne and husband, John, of Monrovia; five grandchildren: Scott and Adam Norris, Kelly Daniel, and Andrew and Zachary Payne; six great-grandchildren; brother: Brian Study and wife, Helen, of Philadelphia, Pa.; and a sister: Carol Ann Rudy and husband, Kenneth, of Frederick. He was preceded in death by four sisters: Maxine O'Brien, Ruby Moser, Jewel Fowler and Ardis Waters. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2, at Robert E. Dailey and Son Funeral Homes, P.A., 1201 N. Market St., Frederick. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jerry Cline, Liberty United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
