Born on Oct. 7, 1949, in Jonesville, Va., she was the daughter of the late Roy M. and Ola B. (Jerrell) Eldridge.

Mrs. Watkins was employed as a claims examiner with United Health Care.

Surviving beside her husband are two daughters, Stacey Denise Carr and husband, Tony, of Hanover, Pa., and Courtney Amber Watkins of Jefferson; two grandchildren, Mackenzie Carr and Ayden Carr; and one sister, Della Nicholson of Hagerstown.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Kenneth Stalls officiating. Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
