Mr. Harry W. (Hap) Eisenhart

As originally published on Tuesday, November 3, 2009.

Mr. Harry W. (Hap) Eisenhart passed away Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009. Hap and his wife Louise have lived in Frederick for the last 20 years enjoying retirement and friends.

Prior to his retirement from government service, Hap worked as a machinist in the research laboratories at Fort Belvoir. His loves included his faith, fly-fishing, singing and service to others.

Hap was raised in Frackville, Pa., and served on the aircraft carrier Yorktown during World War II.

Over their 69 years of marriage, Hap and Louise were blessed with five children, Marcia Parker (Ed), Janice, Sharon Duggan (Greg), Nancy Artis (Pat), and Tom. After Tom preceded him to Heaven, some of Hap's greatest joys came from his four girls and their children, Bill (his son Dylan), Sean, Brian (Angela and their daughter Bridget).

Hap's life will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at Country Meadows.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested in Hap's name to Trout Unlimited (TU.org) or a charity of your choice.
