Mr. William Henry Lowrey

Mr. William Henry Lowrey, 79, of Mount Airy, died Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, at Gilchrist Hospice Center in Towson. He was the husband of Wanda L. (Moore) Lowrey. Mr. Lowrey was born Sept. 25, 1930, in Howard County, the son of the late William Charles and Gertrude Lowrey. He retired from the Howard County Public School system in 1995.Surviving in addition to his wife are son and daughter-in-law, William B. and Carolyn M. Lowrey of Mount Airy; daughters, Debra L. Lowrey and Brenda K. Lowrey, both of Mount Airy; brothers, Charles W., Stephen J. and Robert Lowrey; grandchildren, Cynthia L. D'Amico and husband, John, William C. Lowrey and wife, Jennifer, Kristin L. Niessner and husband, Ryan, Kraig G. Demastus, Steven B. Mullinix and wife, Kara, Blake J. Mullinix, Dylan R. Moore and Kelsey M. Moore; great-grandchildren, Kelly L. D'Amico, Mack S. Mullinix, Cole B. Mullinix, William A. Lowrey and Jamison Niessner. Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, at Lisbon United Methodist Church, 15875 Frederick Road, Lisbon, with the Rev. Lisa Bandel-Sparks officiating. Interment will be in Poplar Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home and Crematory, P.A., 1212 W.
