Born June 19, 1968, in Buffalo, N.Y., he was the son of Wayne Earl Sr. and Diana Evelyn Frank Riddell of Florence, S.C.

He was of the Protestant faith. He was a graduate of Richard Montgomery High School in Rockville, worked as an auto mechanic, and most recently worked with Miller Milling in Winchester, Va. He was an avid tinkerer, enjoyed hockey and his children.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by five children, Shauna Jean Riddell, Jacob Anthony Riddell, Saydee Kay Riddell, Skye Ellen Riddell and Summer Grace Riddell, all of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; two sisters, Kelly Diana Personett of Hagerstown and Tammie Beth Giller of Frederick; and five brothers, the Rev. Russell Wayne Riddell of Moravia, N.Y., Randolph William Riddell of Flintstone, Wayne Earl Riddell Jr. of Florence, S.C., Todd Phillip Riddell Sr. of Cascade and Scott Eric Riddell Sr. of Phoenix, Ariz. Twenty-six nieces and nephews and two great-nieces also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, 95 Union St., Berkeley Spring, W.Va., with the Rev. Russell Riddell officiating. Interment will be in Mahnes Cemetery, Berkeley Springs, W.Va.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 9, at the funeral home, which will open at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shawn Riddell's Children's Memorial Fund, 1053 Clarendon Ave., Florence, SC 29505.
