Mr. Gerald Enos Wolfinger

Mr. Gerald Enos Wolfinger, 87, of Middletown, died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Lura Tripp Wolfinger. They were married 61 years.Born Jan. 16, 1922, in Telford, Pa., he was the son of the late Enos F. and Ida Chittick Wolfinger. Mr. Wolfinger was a longtime member of the Frederick Seventh-day Adventist Church. After serving in World War II, he began working for the Review and Herald Publishing Association in Hagerstown. He continued to work there for 40 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and he was an avid photographer. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Dennis Wolfinger and wife, Judy, of Frederick; one daughter, Marcia Duling and husband, Jeffrey, of Keymar; four grandchildren, Lindsay Wolfinger, Lauren Wolfinger, Travis Sullivan and Megan Brown; four great-grandchildren, Gabrielle, Ian, Zoe and Jillian Brown; and one brother, Mark Wolfinger of Telford, Pa. He was predeceased by one sister, Doris Miller. Memorial services for Mr. Wolfinger will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Frederick Adventist School, Worthy Student Fund, 6437 Jefferson Pike, Frederick, MD 21703.
