Tracking a killer: Detective using database to find suspects in death of Dusty Shuck

Maryland State Police detectives are relying on the FBI's Highway Serial Killings Initiative database to help solve the slaying of Dusty Shuck.

A passing driver found Shuck's body dumped along the side of I-70 near the Mount Airy exit in May 2006.

A nine-hour window exists between the time Shuck was last seen at a Pennsylvania truck stop at 9 p.m. May 3 and the time the motorist found her body shortly before 6 a.m. May 4, Maryland State Police homicide detective Rick Bachtell said.
