The Frederick Police Department is investigating after shots were fired in the 400 block of West South Street about 2 a.m. Saturday.

No one was injured, but a vehicle was hit by gunfire, police said. Shell casings were found at the scene. Witnesses could not give descriptions of possible suspects.

Anyone with information should call the department at 301-600-2100 or the tip line at 301-600-TIPS where information may be given anonymously. Text messages may also be sent to the tips line and e-mails are accepted at fpdcrimetip@fredco-md.net.
