Inmates caughtTwo minimum-security inmates who walked away from the Maryland Correctional Training Center near Hagerstown have been caught, according to the Maryland State Police.
Inmates Michael Allen Johnson, 24, of Sykesville, and Matthew L. Chait, 26, of Germantown, were found Tuesday night at Brown's Motel in Ellicott City, police said.
Authorities had been searching for the two since early Friday, police said. Both were outside the fence helping a private painting contractor when they walked away from the center.
The two were a part of the center's pre-release block, which houses minimum-security inmates, some of whom are in the work release program, police said.
They will be transferred to the Roxbury Correctional Institution in Hagerstown, authorities said.

Beware of scams
The Frederick County Sheriff's Office reminds residents to be wary of unsolicited e-mails and telephone calls.
The agency has noticed several scams targeting residents this year, Cpl. Jennifer Bailey said. The most common involve the website Craig's List or callers posing as secret shoppers.
A fake company pretends to recruit people to secretly shop area businesses to rate their employees.
A company is fake if the caller asks you to pay a fee upfront, Bailey said. A legitimate company also would not send a large check, tell a person to keep a portion and then mail back the rest.
The Craig's List scam targets people posting items for sale, Bailey said. The scammer offers to buy the item and to send extra money, as long as some is sent back. When the seller cashes the check, it turns out to be fraudulent.
The sheriff's office reminds residents not to give out personal information such as credit card and Social Security numbers to anyone making unsolicited calls or e-mails.
