Criminal charges have been filed in the alleged sexual assault of a male student Oct. 27 at the Maryland School for the Deaf in Frederick .

The Frederick Police Department charged four suspects. Three are juveniles, and one is an adult, police said.

The suspects, all male students at the school, were residents of the same dormitory as the alleged victim, police said.

The alleged victim, whose name was not released, was taken to Frederick Memorial Hospital after the alleged assault and released the next morning, police said. Because the alleged victim in this case is a juvenile, details of the alleged attack are not being released.

The juveniles charged are a 17-year-old from Frederick and two 17-year-olds from Baltimore, police said.

The adult suspect was identified as Tyler Daniel Dilks, 20, of Whiteford. Dilks was served with a criminal summons on Wednesday, authorities said.

A Jan. 12 court date for has been set for Dilks.

All four suspects have been charged with fourth-degree sex offense, second-degree assault and conspiracy to commit each of those offenses, police said.
