Description:
Frederick Community College Kids on Campus
When you’re face to face with a dragon, what’s the one thing you should never do? How high can flubber bounce? Can you make a robot boogie? At Frederick Community College’s Kids On Campus Summer Classes, your kids can discover the answers to these questions-as well as answers to tamer ones like "What's fun about math?," "How can I beat boredom this summer?," and "How can I challenge my body, mind and creative-self, and make some new friends?"
Kids on Campus is a year round program that, especially for summer, has lots to offer: both morning and afternoon classes for students aged 4+, 7+, and 11+. Students and parents create a personalized summer program that fills their days with lots of fun and exciting projects. An optional session can be added to morning or afternoon programs for kids to enjoy lunch and supervised play with their friends. Plus, we offer a buy-your-lunch option.
Kids can spend their mornings or afternoons creating art from nature; creating comics; digging for dinosaurs; learning Arabic, Chinese, Spanish or American Sign Language. Perhaps they would like to skate, fence, write, or create! Or they can try their hand at an outdoor adventure in canoe or kayak, creating their own myths or legends, producing their own TV show, sharing the latest and greatest Harry Potter book, acting & improv-ing, or creating one-of-a-kind art.
