About PFC Justin Ray Davis: Justin was a courageous young man who had a passion for life and service to his fellow man. He was blessed to follow his dream with an infectious zest until the very end. He was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom when his life ended in Afghanistan on June 25, 2006.

Justin exemplified courage and service and was proud to serve his country and to help his fellow man. Justin had a magnetic personality, million dollar smile, jovial manner and distinguished baritone voice. He was assigned to Fort Drum, N.Y., where he was a member of an elite unit the Alpha Company of the 1st Battalion, 32nd Infantry Regiment of the 10th Mountain Division. Justin always said he did not want to be an "Average Joe." He said he wanted to make a difference in the world. And he did. He died a hero.
