MSD won the ESDAA volleyball tournament for the 11th straight year beating the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf in the title game, 25-7 and 25-9 at the Pennsylvlania School for the Deaf. Brittany Frank had five aces, one kill and one dig in the title game, Tandy Lewis had four aces; two assists and two digs; Tarja Lewis had two aces and three assists; Augusta Seremeth had four kills and three blocks; Shaina Steingieser had one ace and five kills, Claire Tucker had two aces and three kills and Shayna Rose Unger had 15 assists and two digs.
The local team, which went 8-0 in the tournament, downed Pennsylvania 25-5 and 25-4 in the semifinal game. In that game, Frank had five aces and three digs, Tandy Lewis one kill and three digs, Tarja Lewis two aces and two assists and Claire Tucker four aces and two digs.
Tanda Lewis, Michelle Mansfield-Hom, Steingieser, Tucker and Rose made the all tournament team.

North Hagerstown 4, Catoctin 1
HAGERSTOWN -- In the makeup of a regular season match to determine the MVAL Antietam title, the Hubs beat the Cougars to capture the league crown.
North Hagerstown and Williamsport both finished with 6-1 records in the Antietam, and the Hubs earned the tie-breaker with a win over the Wildcats.
Alec Owens scored for the Cougars (2-12). Keeper Ben Tylicki had 12 saves.

Mount women fifth at NEC
HAMDEN, Conn. -- Megan Kinsella finished in second place overall to pace the Mount St. Mary's women's team to a fifth-place finish at the Northeast Conference Championships hosted by Quinnipiac University on Saturday afternoon.-- Kinsella was named Freshman of the Year in addition to earning All-Northeast Conference honors with her second-place finish.
On the men's side, sophomore Dylan--Bernard finished in ninth-place overall to earn All-Northeast Conference honors for the second-straight season.-- The Mount was seventh.
