Boys Soccer Playoffs

Class 4A North Semifinal

Urbana 3, Patterson 2

BALTIMORE -- Will Duddleson, Garrett Hajjar and Joey Penn each had a goal for Urbana (10-6), which moves on to the regional championship match against the Westminster-Dulaney winner on Tuesday.

Kelson Yearwood had one assist for the Hawks. Alex Vert had five saves for Urbana .

Class 3A West Semifinal

Clarksburg 2, Northwood 0

CLARKSBURG -- Julio Arjona tallied two goals for the Coyotes (10-1-3), while goalkeeper Austin Fiedler made four saves, contributing to his 11 shutout of the season.

Fernand Fekeu and Nick Civetti each had one assist for the Coyotes, who move on to face Tuscarora in the final.

Class 1A North Semifinal

Brunswick 2, Havre de Grace 1

HAVRE DE GRACE -- Brunswick outshot the Warriors, 4-2, in a penalty kick shootout to advance to Tuesday's regional championship match, where it hosts a 6 p.m. match against an opponent to be determined later.

Kevin Wilson, Nathan Diaz, Nathan Foltz and Sean Anderson converted penalty kicks for the Railroaders (7-6-2). Drew Demich has a goal in regulation for Brunswick .

Drew Howard had 10 saves, including one in the shootout.

Volleyball Playoffs

Class 3A West, First Round

Linganore 3, Kennedy 2

WHEATON -- Scores: 25-11, 21-25, 21-25, 25-10, 15-12. Kass Greis had eight service aces, 22 kills adn 15 assists for Linganore (7-8), which faces the Blake-Seneca Valley winner in the quarterfinals Monday. Adrienne Livioco had 19 assists with three aces; Corinne Seiberlich had five aces with 12 digs; Jen Buckley had 14 digs and Page Eckard had eight kills.

Frederick 3, Northwood 0

Scores: 25-6, 25-22, 25-13. Jenna Connors had nine kills with three aces for Frederick (6-9), which plays at Watkins Mill Monday in the regional quarterfinals; Courtney Dentinger had 23 assists; Haley Nash had 10 kills; Stephanie Kline had seven digs and Anna Hornstein had 14 kills with four digs.
