Saturday at 1 p.m.n Thomas Johnson (6-4) at Urbana (8-2): The Patriots have been looking forward to this rematch ever since they fell to Urbana , 10-7, on Oct. 9. The Hawks had only 80 yards of offense in the game, but produced two turnovers deep in TJ territory that led to their points. Top-seeded Urbana is trying to snap a two-game losing streak. After falling at home to Tuscarora on Oct. 30, they were routed last Saturday at Linganore , 42-14. The Hawks played better in the second half after inserting sophomore Michael Spahr at quarterback and moving senior Jesse Heon to receiver. They scored two touchdowns in the final six minutes. The fourth-seeded Patriots, meanwhile, are coming off a 34-10 road victory over intracity rival Frederick . Senior quarterback Ryon Lynch ran for a pair of touchdowns for TJ. The winner of this Class 4A North semifinal will meet the winner of the game between the No. 2 seed Woodlawn and the No. 3 seed Patterson.Friday at 7 p.m.n New Town (5-5) at Catoctin (10-0): After completing their first unbeaten regular season since 1983, the Cougars have their sights set on a return trip to the Class 1A state semifinals. They are the top seed in the 1A North after averaging 39.7 points and only allowing 7.7 in the regular season. Running backs Paul Barbour and Austin Carter combined to rush for more than 1,000 yards, as well as 15 touchdowns. Quarterback Dylan May completed more than 60 percent of his passes and tossed nine touchdowns. New Town is averaging 36 points in its last two wins. It is coming off a 40-0 win home win over Lansdowne last week. The winner of this game faces the winner of the game between No. 2 seed Pikesville and No. 3 seed Sparrows Point. n Tuscarora (7-3) at Quince Orchard (10-0): The Titans clinched the second playoff berth in the brief history of their football program with a 28-0 home win over Riverdale Baptist last week. Now they are in search of their first playoff win. Last year, they fell to Urbana , 3-0, in an overtime game that was played in steady rain on a muddy field. And this will likely be a bigger challenge. Quince Orchard is the top seed in the 3A West and just two seasons removed from a state championship in 4A. The Cougars are winning games by an average of 25 points this season. Last week, they beat last year's 4A state champion, Sherwood, marking their fifth straight season they have won at least 10 games. No other Montgomery County football team has ever achieved that. The winner of this game faces the Linganore -Damascus winner. n Middletown (6-4) at Rockville (8-1): The Knights reached the playoffs for the fourth straight season with a 42-26 come-from-behind win over Walkersville last Friday. They scored 38 points in the second half of that win. Last season, they went to Clarksburg and upset the Coyotes in the first round of the Class 2A West playoffs. Now they hope to accomplish a similar feat against Rockville. The Rams are the top seed in the region after playing nine games. Their only loss of the season was a 49-20 setback at Northern on Oct. 16. The winner of this game faces the winner of the other regional semifinal between No. 2 seed South Carroll and the No. 3 seed and defending 2A West champion Century.
