Indoor Track and FieldTJ, Lancers win Dwight Scott Relays
HAGERSTOWN -- The Thomas Johnson boys and Linganore girls won team titles in the Dwight Scott Relays, Friday, at Hagerstown Community College.
The Patriots boys defeated Middletown, 76-53, with Linganore, fourth; Walkersville, fifth; Frederick seventh and Brunswick and Urbana tied for 10th. On the girls side, Linganore held off Williamsport, 56-51, for the win.
TJ finished third while Middletown was fourth, Urbana was fifth, Frederick was seventh and Walkersville was ninth.
Marquis Woodyard and Jordan were on three winning relay teams to lead the TJ boys. Linganore was led by Lauren Quinn, Joy Fry, Jennifer Turowski and Maddy Grant in the 800 relay.
The TJ girls won the sprint medley and 3,200 relay. The Middletown girls won the pole vault, the Linganore boys won the shot put and Walkersville won the girls shot put
Josh Jackson, Joseph Coles, Hank Adams and Brady Wilson combined to finish second for Frederck in the boys 800 relay. The Cadets were also fifth in the shot put and 1,600 relay.

Frederick 82, Washington, W. Va. 58
HEDGESVILLE, W. Va. -- Monnie James had 22 points with three steals for Frederick (5-2), followed by Donald Dawson with 19 points and eight rebounds, Pernell Ricks had 11 points and EJ Logan had 10 points. DJ Whiten had four assists for the Cadets, who play host Hedgesville for the championship at 7:30 p.m. today.
Martinsburg 62, Tuscarora 59
MARTINSBURG, W. Va. -- Tuscarora (5-2) rallied from a 20-point deficit and tied the score at the end of regulation. But the Bulldogs prevailed in overtime.
Jonathan Thomas had 26 points with three steals for the Titans and C.J. Ingram had 13 points. LaQuan Randolph had eight rebounds for Tuscarora and Justin Bowens had four assists.
Martinsbiurg also won the junior varsity game in overtime, 47-41. Isiah Plumber had 10 points for Tuscarora,
Smithsburg 66, Catoctin 51
SMITHSBURG -- Justin Albright had 13 points for Catoctin (2-5), Braden Myers had 12 and Landon Routzahn had 11. Sean Reaver had seven rebounds for the Cougars.
Smithsburg also won the junior varsity game.
