Kristin Webb: Cheerleading
Preparing our county competition routine
Originally published October 15, 2009

Hey everyone! The past two weeks have been pretty crazy at TJ for the Varsity Cheerleading team.

We have had some very productive practices where we worked on our county competition routine. We are not completely finished with it, but we have pieces that we have been working on trying to get them as clean and perfect as possible. Hopefully we will have it finished soon considering the county competition is less than a month away!

The team is getting pretty excited, but a little nervous since it is so close and we haven’t finished the routine much less our music!  We will just have to work a little harder and work as a team at practice the next few weeks to get our routine completed and ready.

The last time I wrote a blog was the week of senior night. Senior night went very well, but it was so weird since it was so early this year! There were a lot of seniors between football, cheerleading and band. It is so hard to believe we will all be graduating and going our separate ways in a couple months!

We played Westminster that night and our boys won, which made senior night even better!

The following week we played Middletown where TJ also played a good game and won again. Last week was a crazy game where we played Urbana. Everyone was nervous since it was a big game! TJ played a good game overall with a couple mistakes, but mistakes are what make you a better player! It was such a close game, but unfortunately Urbana won. It was an upsetting loss, but you win some and lose some that’s how life goes.

You just have to brush it off and keep going. You can only work on and fix what you did wrong and try harder next time. We are proud of the TJ football team even though it didn’t turn out how we would have liked. No matter what we stand behind you guys!  :)

Tonight we play away at Tuscarora which should be an exciting game!  Hopefully TJ can bring a W back home! Good luck tonight TJ!  :)
