Wonder 1: The Fort Detrick "Eight Ball" --- it is, so far as I know, still the only protected historical monument in Frederick County. In addition to being a landmark for our government, it is also was one of the reasons that Fort Detrick at one point was the largest employer of Frederick County residents.
