Wonder 1: Carroll Creek Painted Bridge... I remember the bridge being painted from the very beginning, and i was on of the people that would go see the artist in action. The whole idea of the painted bridge is amazing, when you add in the personal touch the painter made with the community its really one of the best pieces of art in all of frederick.
Wonder 2: Cunningham Falls... When i was a child i use to hike the falls, my parents use to get so made at me because I'd have to get back in the car muddy and wet. I hope one day to take my children to Cunningham falls, and I'm sure that my little girl will climb up the falls and muddy up my car too.
Wonder 3: Harry Grove Stadium... There is nothing like a cool summer night with some baseball and a cold beer. The Frederick Keys again is something i grew up with. I remember the dirtiest car in the parking lot game, and the race around the bases. Its nice to see a community of people get together to enjoy a simple game of baseball.
Wonder 4: Ft. Detrick... While some might not know the whole history of Fort Detrick it is important to know that FD is the largest employer in all of Frederick! Originally used as an air base FD became home to offensive bio-warfare during the cold war. It is now about to house the homeland security bio defense campus. Land marks in the base include the 8 ball, the old incinerator, and east coast relay.
Wonder 5: Potomac aqueduct... Just gorgeous
Wonder 6: The farmland that frederick has to offer... It reminds everyone that walmart and starbucks hasn't quite taken over yet.
Wonder 7: Monocacy Battle field... moment in or nations history, enough said
