Learn something about yourself every Tuesday night. This class is designed to help people understand more about the biology and psychology that makes us tick. Although mindfulness is an ancient tradition, modern medicine is proving its timeless ability to heal. When the research on mindfulness and the practice of meditation is combined it can create motivation and understanding that are paramount for a strong practice. Each class consists of:

A centering meditation: Used to settle into the room and leave our days behind us to be more present. Short talk on the science and practice of mindfulness meditation: To strengthen knowledge and formal practice. Varying types of guided meditation practices: So we can build a toolbox of mindfulness techniques. Share about our experience as a group: Helps us in building a sangha (caring community). Closing meditation without guidance: Strengthens ability to self-guide while having the support of a group. Suggested Donation: $20 Benefactor; $10 Sustainer; $5 Scholarship
