The Middletown Valley Community Show is a community project which entitles all residents in the Valley to exhibit their home grown produce, canned goods, baked goods, homemade crafts, sewing, etc., which makes for a friendly community spirit. The organizations that sponsor this show (Middletown Valley Grange and the Maryland Agricultural Fair Board) believe in good fellowship and community spirit and our show certainly exemplifies just that!
Many entry categories are available for Adults. The Agricultural classes include Farm Produce; Fruits, Nuts and Eggs; and Garden Produce. Household Canned Food Products entries include Fruits, Vegetables, Meats, and dried products. Other canned entry items are Pickles, Jelly, and Preserves. The Home-Baked category includes all kinds of Cakes, Pies, Breads, and Cookies (which are all sold at the Cake Auction Friday night).
In the Needlework department entries can include sewn, crocheted, cross stitch, and knit items, as well as quilts. The Arts & Crafts department entries include ceramics, painting, woodwork, photos, and holiday decorations, and the Plants and Flowers department includes fresh, dried, potted, and arrangements.
Premium Books (blue this year!) are available in various Middletown Valley locations, including the Middletown and Myersville Town Halls, Middletown Library, local banks, and many local businesses. Pick up a copy and enter the Show!
