Are you looking for a way to help others? Woman to Woman Mentoring Inc. is seeking volunteer mentors for our CORE Program and the Women in STEM Mentorship Program. Women who have life experiences to share, who are great listeners, have a caring heart and who are interested in having a major impact in the community are who we are looking for. 

By becoming a CORE Program Mentor, you will work one-on-one with a mentee to provide support and guidance approximately 2 to 4 hours per month in addition to attending one workshop per month (usually 6:45 - 8:15 p.m.) with your mentee and the rest of the cohort of other mentoring pairs for the duration of six to nine months. One-on-one support and workshops provide access and opportunities to build skills, develop and plan goals, and create a supportive environment for women in Frederick County looking to take the next step their lives whether it be through their career, education and/or personal lives. The CORE Program serves women with a variety of interests between typically between the ages of 18 and 35.

The power of mentoring is that it creates a one-of-a-kind opportunity for collaboration, problem solving, and goal achievement. Created by a group of community leaders from Frederick, Woman to Woman Mentoring, Inc. is a local 501c3 nonprofit whose mission is to cultivate mentoring relationships that provide women with guidance, support, and community connections.

W2WM, Inc. offers three CORE programs a year (one starting in Winter, Spring, and Fall) for young women of Frederick County, typically between the ages of 18 to 35. The program assists women who desire personal and professional guidance through mentoring relationships focused on career, education, and life.

The CORE Program is a unique mentoring model that blends one-on-one mentoring, monthly life-skill workshops, networking, skill development opportunities through its social enterprise W2WM Pop-Up Shop, and volunteer opportunities.
