Are you looking for a way to help others? Woman to Woman Mentoring Inc. is seeking volunteer mentors for our Women in STEM Mentorship Program.

Professional women persisting in a STEM career, who have life experiences to share, who are great listeners, have a caring heart and who are interested in having a major impact in the community are who we are looking for. This is a volunteer opportunity that you can do remotely!

Submit your application via the website link, and a program assistant will contact you via email/ phone to schedule an interview to give us and you the opportunity to get to know one another and match you with a mentee. 

Requirements for Becoming a Mentor: 

- must be STEM professional

- have and use a Zoom account (or being willing to create an account and learn how to use Zoom)

- regularly meet with your mentee in a safe manner (via Zoom or in person w/ social distancing and mask wearing precautions) for 1-4 hours per month.

- attend workshops with your mentee via Zoom, which will occur in the evening on Thursdays (6:45-8:45 p.m.) OR on Fridays, 12:30-2 p.m.

The power of mentoring is that it creates a one-of-a-kind opportunity for collaboration, problem solving, and goal achievement. Created by a group of community leaders from Frederick, Woman to Woman Mentoring, Inc. is a local 501c3 nonprofit whose mission is to cultivate mentoring relationships that provide women with guidance, support, and community connections.

W2WM, Inc. offers the Women in STEM Mentorship in accordance with the academic year (September - May) for young women who reside and/or attend school in Frederick County, and who are enrolled in a degree program. The program assists women who desire personal and professional guidance through mentoring relationships focused on career, education, and life with a special emphasis on their careers in STEM.
