Juried themed exhibition that features works where “opposites” are contrasted in the same piece. The works of 20 artists will be featured, reflecting a variety of media, styles and interpretations.

The exhibition was juried by Sonya Evanisko, a producing artist and a Professor of Art at Shepherd University. Sonya coordinates the Painting and Drawing program in the Department of Contemporary Art and Theater and has been with the university since 1993. In 2016, she was honored with the WV Professor of the Year title.

An opening reception with the artists will take place 5 to 7 p.m. Feb 8. The reception is free and open to the public, and will feature light hors d’oeuvres. The exhibition runs from Jan. 30 to March 1, during which works by the other gallery artists will remain on display.
