Showcases separate installations by Virginia Sperry and Jim Roberts. Sperry’s installation, “Filament," takes a common material to a new level of experience. From the detailed, abstract photography of tiny pieces of yarn to the bigger than life waterfalls made from strands of yarn hanging from the ceiling, this installation challenges the viewer’s preconceptions of this medium. Roberts’ installation delves into the current political milieu. In his work, “Anatomy of a Lie," Roberts shows the various stages of how a lie can take form and spread, through discrediting of factual information and laying siege to the 4th estate. Opening reception 5 to 9 p.m. March 7, artists' talk 7 to 8:30 p.m. March 19.
