As a ticket-plan holder for the last 17 years with the Keys, I'm shocked that they would be considered for elimination. The Keys are everything you want a minor league baseball team to be - a great organization run by a progressive GM and supported by a solid, enthusiastic staff; a large number of loyal fans that come to games, win or lose; and a very positive presence in the community which reaches well beyond the ballpark.

One of the guys I have a ticket plan with has gone to many minor league ballparks for games at all MiLB levels and in his opinion, the Keys are in the top two or three of all the organizations he's seen. MLB should work to ensure more teams are run like the Frederick Keys rather than consider dropping them.
