Mural unveiled

“Thurmont Rail History” was unveiled Oct. 26 at the entrance to the carnival grounds on Main Street in Thurmont. The Thurmont community Make a Difference Day project this year was a mural created by artist Yemi and made possible by anonymous donations. The mural is displayed on the original trolley transfer station next to a trolley car from the Frederick and Hagerstown Railway. The project, to keep the past alive and add to the beauty of the town, was coordinated by the Thurmont Lions Club. To see other Thurmont Lions Club projects, visit Facebook.
