About YMCA of Frederick County

At the YMCA of Frederick County strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility is our cause. Every day, we work side-by-side with community members to address the most pressing needs in Frederick County to make sure that everyone—regardless of age, income or background—has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. Our work is not easy, but real and lasting changes can only come about when we work together to invest in our kids, our health and our neighbors and the first step to achieving these improvements is having the full support of our community.

Encouraging, supporting and improving healthy living habits, among our members and throughout the community, are central to our purpose. Our work also focuses on youth development through a wide variety of programs such as childcare, day camps, swim lessons, and organized youth sports.

Financial assistance may be available for you and your entire family to join, thanks to the generosity of our donors. The Y uses 100 percent of donor contributions to provide financial assistance for members and to subsidize a wide range of mission programs. Our goal is to provide financial assistance to anyone who needs it to participate.
