My wife and I have shopped at Potomac Farms (the Shepherdstown location) since moving to the area. We'd always had pleasant experiences. Although we've never been to the Frederick location, they are owned by the same person.

This past Sunday we spent over $200 on flowers and other gardening items. Among the items we bought were approximately $70 worth of hanging Impatiens. By Monday they were completely dead. We figured "No big deal. We'll let them know what happened and they'll surely stand behind their products." After-all, we'd literally bought them the day before.

Instead of treating us like valued customers, Sixta (a Manager we'd been friendly with on several previous visits) belittled us, yelled at us, harassed us, told us the situation was our fault, informed us that our business wasn't desired, and hung-up on us. We have NEVER been treated as poorly at a retail establishment as we were at Potomac Farms. Setting the return aside, the disrespect we were shown was outrageous and unbecoming of a professional establishment.

Before you shop here you should know how little they value customers. My wife and I were valued at less than $70 worth of dead flowers, but maybe losing some business will make them rethink disrespecting their customers in the future.

Perhaps consider Meadows Farms in Harper's Ferry (304) 724-3000 or Sunny Meadows Garden Center in Boonsboro (301) 302-0740.
