The Downtown Frederick Partnership selected four finalists for its “pitchcraft" competition.

Pitchraft invites people to pitch an idea that, if physically implemented in Downtown Frederick, will better connect the people and places of our community. It’s the second year the partnership has held the competition.

The four pitches will be made in front of a live audience on Oct. 24.

The cost of each Pitchcraft ticket ($20) goes directly toward funding the winning idea, which is announced that night.

The final four ideas are:

  • Carroll Creek Piano Staircase: painting a piano on park steps, pitched by Amina Omar
  • Music on Market: put pianos on the street during the holiday season, pitched by Jay Harkcom
  • Flower Downtown Frederick: mural project featuring local flowers, pitched by Kathy Lynn
  • Frederick Photo Ops: large scale model of the word Frederick, pitched by Melissa Muntz

Residents can purchase tickets at pitchcraft2019.eventbrite.com.
