Hear about gruesome acts of revenge, horrific deeds, spiteful exploits, blood-thirsty mobs, embalming the dead, and so much more when Candlelight Ghost Tours of Frederick reemerges from the crypt to begin its new season on Saturday.
Woven through historical accounts and true documented stories of local paranormal activity, master storytellers dressed in period attire from Frederick’s past lead visitors through the city’s dark streets and alleyways in search of the infamous, the unknown and the unexplained. Uncover politically savvy and defiant citizens, patriots from the Revolutionary War, beckoning soldiers from the Civil War, unknown actors from the stage and countless other conduits for the dead.
Candlelight Ghost Tours of historic Frederick are available various weekend nights beginning Saturday through December. Private group tours available year-round. All tours depart, rain or shine, from Brewer’s Alley Restaurant and Brewery, 124 N. Market St. Cost is $10 for adults, $8 active military and seniors, $5 for students 7 through 12; children 6 and under, free. Tours are approximately 90 minutes and leisurely cover 1.2 miles. No reservations are required, except for groups of eight or more.
