The following area students made the dean’s list for the fall semester at Shorter University, in Rome, Georgia: Wesley Dang, general business major, and Noel Mendiola, marketing, both from Frederick.

Quinlan Stafford, of Mount Airy, studying English and creative writing, earned president’s list and dean’s list status at the University of Iowa, in Iowa City, Iowa, for the fall semester. Katherine Goodale, of Woodbine, studying journalism and mass communication, made dean’s list status.

Erin Clarke, of Mount Airy, was named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Ithaca College, in Ithaca, New York.

Rachel Mumey, of New Market, and Kyle Duke, of Frederick, were named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Wheaton College, in Wheaton, Illinois.

The following area students were named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Quinnipiac University, in Hamden, Connecticut: Isabella Alley, of Emmitsburg, and Tess Adams and Katherine Schupp, of Frederick.

Emma Parker, a biochemistry major from Poolesville, and Jacob Herrmann, a chemistry major from Jefferson, made the dean’s list for the fall semester at Westminster College, in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania.

Drew Strayton, of Frederick, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Wake Forest University, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Strayton received all A’s for the semester.

Mihika Peshwa, of Boyds; Nitya Jani and Justin Dubbin, of Frederick; and David Schupp, of Smithsburg, made the dean’s list for the fall semester at Georgia Institute of Technology, in Atlanta, Georgia.

Eric Gu, of Frederick, and Yiting Lin, of Middletown, earned the distinction of faculty honors for fall 2020 at the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Hannah Lynn, of Frederick, made the dean’s list for the fall semester at the University of Central Arkansas, in Conway, Arkansas.

Alex Haber, a graduate of Gov. Thomas Johnson High School, The University of Rochester, has received his Ph.D. in cancer research at The Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Alex is the son of Dr. Richard and Mrs. Sylvia Haber, of Frederick.

Elizabeth Heinz, an early education major from Woodbine, was one of nine students at Widener University Center for Education, in Chester, Pennsylvania, who started the Little Free Library as part of the service-learning component of Widener’s Community Engaged Teacher Education program. The students raised $1,000 for the project.

Lauren Lombardo, a sociology major from Ijamsville, and Olivia Hiltke, a biology major from New Market, made the dean’s list for the fall semester at The College of New Jersey, in Ewing, New Jersey.

Reid Fedors, of Middletown, was named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Ithaca College, in Ithaca, New York.

Michael Roach, of New Market, was named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Lewis University, in Romeoville, Illinois.

Megan Scocco, of New Windsor, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at the University of Findlay, in Findlay, Ohio.

Benjamin Tetreault, of Frederick and majoring in engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, in Worcester, Massachusetts, was a member of a student team that recently completed an intense research project titled “STEM Education: Access and Equity in Northern New Mexico” with Santa Fe Project Center.
