Hudgeons-Fisher engagement

Fisher-Hudgeons

Evie Michelle Hudgeons and Blake Edward Fisher, of Smithsburg, announce their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Michelle and Jerry Feltner, of Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, and Christopher Hudgeons, of Alvin, Texas. She is a 2007 graduate of Berkeley Springs High School, is currently attending West Virginia University and is the office manager at Aspen Dental, Hagerstown.

Her fiancé is the son of Sue Fisher, of Tulsa, Oklahoma. He is a 2008 graduate of Jenks High School, in Tulsa, and a graduate of Oklahoma State University. He is employed with Music and Arts, Hagerstown.

The couple were introduced by Hudgeons’ former high school Spanish teacher, who was a regular at the Melting Pot in Oklahoma City where Fisher was a salaried manager. They exchanged phone numbers, talked for three months before finally meeting in person, thus ensuing a 10-month long-distance relationship. In January 2016, Fisher packed up and moved across the country to live in Maryland. He proposed at their first date spot, Lake Hefner, in Oklahoma City.

An Oct. 14, 2017, wedding in Martinsburg, West Virginia, is being planned.
