FCPS requires four credits in addition to the 21 required by the Maryland State Board of Education. The four additional credits include one in mathematics and three in the student’s career pathway. At FCPS, mathematics or a related approved course must be taken each year of high school.

Additional students, such as the 23 completing the FCPS SUCCESS Program this year, earned Maryland High School Certificates. SUCCESS is a transition-education program for students ages 18-21 who have completed at least four years in a comprehensive high school, have had work experience and exhibit potential for competitive employment. The program focuses on developing skills for independent living and functional academics and offers students a range of employment opportunities.
