The annual Barry and Edith Beall Reunion met July 6 at Bethesda United Methodist Church, Browningsville, where Bealls have worshiped since the early 1800s. Their children were Julia, Elwood, Howard, John, Ruth, Catherine, Willis, Lindy and Fred, who were raised on the Clarksburg Road Beall ancestral homestead. Several shipped milk from farms in Frederick and Montgomery counties.

Barry W. Beall pronounced the blessing on the gathering and the usual fried chicken and homemade ice cream. Special greetings were for sisters-in-law Dorothy Day Beall (Willis) and Bernardine Gladhill Beall (Fred) and for Dean Beall, noting his 60 years as part of this gathering.

Among the over 90 attending were friends Dick Bennett, Mark and Penny Gole, Patti Gail Lenko. the Rev. Abraham McNally, Cindy Sadtler and Pat Watkins. And “dozens of cousins” listed in family order:
